    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    • Seasoning: Rub the chicken with olive oil or butter, and season generously with salt, pepper, and herbs like rosemary, thyme, or sage. You can also add lemon slices or garlic inside the cavity for extra flavor.

    • Roasting: Place the chicken breast side up in a roasting pan. Roast for 20 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part of the thigh, avoiding the bone.

    • Basting: Baste the chicken with its own juices halfway through cooking to keep the meat moist and flavorful.

    • Resting: Once cooked, let the chicken rest for 10-15 minutes under foil before carving. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring tender meat.

    • Crispier Skin: For extra crispy skin, turn the oven up to 425°F (220°C) for the last 10 minutes of roasting.
    • Stuffing: Consider stuffing the cavity with fresh herbs, onions, or citrus for additional flavor during roasting.
